The University of Maryland Medical System is a multi-hospital system that includes thirteen separate facilities with academic, community, and specialty service missions reaching every part of the state and beyond. 

To provide the best support for these hospitals, the Information Services and Technology department has transitioned to a corporate shared services model. Many of the services and processes have now been streamlined, although we are still working in some areas to reach that model.
