How to Report an IT Problem:
When contacting the Helpdesk by phone or email, you need to provide the following information in order for the Helpdesk staff to determine the nature and scope of your request.
- Contact information – name and call-back phone number where the Helpdesk can reach you or an alternate contact person
- Your location – unit name, building, floor and room number
- Detailed description of your question or issue.
- If it is related to your PC or a printer include Asset number/PC or printer name
- If it is related to an application, include the application name, any error messages that you received, time that the issue occurred, and names of co-workers that are having the same issue
Password Reset
If you need a password reset, contact the Helpdesk. On campus dial 4357, off campus dial (410) 328-4357 or send an email to helpdesk@umm.edu.
Guest Wireless Access
While visiting the UM St. Joseph Medical Center, guests can connect to the Guest Network from most locations. Guest wireless is a free service intended for use by visitors, patients, and guests requiring short-term access. It is an unsecured connection and should not be used to send or receive sensitive information.
In order to use the guest wireless, you must review and agree to our acceptable use statement. This statement informs you that you agree to follow all applicable Medical Center policies and procedures on network access and use.
To access our guest wireless,
- Access the list of available wireless networks
- Click “ummc-guest”
- Open your browser and the acceptance policy will be displayed
- Review and accept the policy
You will now be on the Guest Network and can start browsing
