The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee is an interdisciplinary committee that is charged with developing and maintaining the UMMS shared formulary based on clinical evidence, safety, and efficacy. The goals and objectives of the System P&T Committee are to improve outcomes, quality, patient safety, and efficiency of the medications used within the UMMS in a cost-conscious manner. The System P&T Committee makes formulary decisions for all facilities within the UMMS and reports directly to the Chief Medical Office (CMO) Council and Operational Performance Improvement Group.
