Reset your password

Introducing our automated assistant known as "CHIP". For any application or system that uses your UMMS network password, CHIP is ready 24x7 to help – from any phone inside or outside of UMMS!

Don’t worry – you can still reset your own password using methods such as CTL-ALT-DEL while on the network or VPN. We encourage you to reset your password before it expires!

What does CHIP do?

  • When you contact the Help Desk and choose Option #1 to reset your password, CHIP will be available to help you reset your password. If CHIP cannot help, you will be passed through to one of our Help Desk Agents.
  • If your password isn’t one that CHIP can access, you’ll be passed through to one of our Help Desk Agents.

How can CHIP benefit me?

  • Shorter wait times - CHIP is available immediately upon choosing Option #1.
  • Shorter call time – CHIP can reset your password in under two minutes.
  • CHIP can unlock your account and reset your password after verifying your identity.

What to do if your password is compromised/lost

If you have lost your password or feel that someone knows your password, contact your facility's Helpdesk for instructions on how to reset your password for any application.
