NOW request Application Access for new and existing staff On-Line!

You now have the ability to enter the demographic information one time! You can request access to 1 or 9 applications on one form!

These application requests are for access granted by UMMS IS&T of supported applications for staff requiring access to an electronic system as a New Employee or additional access for Existing Staff. Written directions and a brief tutorial are available below to assist you in using the online form.

Access Request Forms

Click the name of the application and complete the required Access Request Form. Scan the form(s) and email to ISTSupport@umm.edu OR Fax the form(s) to the number listed on the form.

When contacting the Helpdesk by phone or email, provide the following information to the Helpdesk staff so they may determine the nature and scope of your request. 

  1. Contact information – name and call-back phone number where the Helpdesk can reach you, or an alternate contact person
  2. Your location – unit name, building, floor, and room number
  3. Detailed description of your question or issue
  • If it is related to your PC or a printer, include the asset number, and the PC or printer name
  • If it is related to an application, include the application name, any error messages you received, time the issue occurred, and names of co-workers having the same issue

Password Reset

Guest Wireless Access

While visiting the University of Maryland Medical Center, guests can connect to the Guest Network from most locations. Guest wireless is a free service intended for use by visitors, patients, and guests requiring short-term access. It is an unsecured connection and should not be used to send or receive sensitive information. 

To use the guest wireless, you must review and agree to our Acceptable Use statement. The statement informs you that you agree to follow all applicable Medical Center policies and procedures on network access and use.

To access our guest wireless: 

  1. Access the list of available wireless networks 
  2. Click “ummc-guest”
  3. Open your browser and the acceptance policy will be displayed
  4. Review and accept the policy

 You will now be on the Guest Network and can start browsing.

Training for Business Applications

Training for Business Applications (STAR and OTIS) which are used at UMMC can be requested by contacting the Helpdesk. On campus dial 8- HELP (4357), off campus dial 410-328-HELP (4357), or send an email to helpdesk@umm.edu.
