LPN Integration

In a new partnership with local community colleges to maximize safe and efficient patient care delivery, we are integrating the use of Licensed Practical Nurses into the collaborative nursing care team. This integration and partnership will support care delivery within UMMS hospitals and create an opportunity to develop and grow our local communities.

Standardized, team care delivery models will allow our interdisciplinary teams to practice more efficiently and effectively at the bedside.

We intend to test and apply models of care that emphasize collaboration, output driven communications methods and represent best practice, evidence based approaches. 

Working to the top of their license, our nursing care teams will be encouraged to stretch their ambitions across leadership and professional development opportunities.
