Food Services Partnership Goals: November 2022 – May 2023

  • Utilize feedback from Nursing Workforce Survey Analysis
  • Conduct direct observations of frontline and discovery of local team member experience at: UM SRH, UM UCH, UM CRMC, and UMMC
  • Reduce RN time spent on reheating and distributing meals
  • Review site policies for nurse ability to reheat food for system
  • Share output for Morrison contract review

 

Horizon 1 Discovery Phase: Next 90 Days (Nov 2022 – Jan 2023)

Over the next 90 days, we will explore ways to reduce waste and redundancies related to food trays and meals. During this discovery period, we will: 
  • Communicate with stakeholders
  • Gather information about the planned food services workflows for meal distribution
  • Conduct observations
    • Standardize observation process and data collection plan
    • Identify & train observers at UMMC, UM Charles Regional, UMM Shore Regional, UM Upper Chesapeake Health
    • Conduct observations of meal distribution & collection, reheating, reordering meals
  • Analyze observation data to identify opportunities to reduce RN time spent on distributing meals and reheating meals
