Food Services Partnership Goals: November 2022 – May 2023
- Utilize feedback from Nursing Workforce Survey Analysis
- Conduct direct observations of frontline and discovery of local team member experience at: UM SRH, UM UCH, UM CRMC, and UMMC
- Reduce RN time spent on reheating and distributing meals
- Review site policies for nurse ability to reheat food for system
- Share output for Morrison contract review
Horizon 1 Discovery Phase: Next 90 Days (Nov 2022 – Jan 2023)
Over the next 90 days, we will explore ways to reduce waste and redundancies related to food trays and meals. During this discovery period, we will:
- Communicate with stakeholders
- Gather information about the planned food services workflows for meal distribution
- Conduct observations
- Standardize observation process and data collection plan
- Identify & train observers at UMMC, UM Charles Regional, UMM Shore Regional, UM Upper Chesapeake Health
- Conduct observations of meal distribution & collection, reheating, reordering meals
- Analyze observation data to identify opportunities to reduce RN time spent on distributing meals and reheating meals
