COMPASS Point Subscription/Profile Update for Voyagers
If you are a subscribed to the COMPASS Point as a Super User, you will soon get an email asking you to update your profile. When you do, please fill out as much information as you can, as this will help COMPASS staff get to know you better and get in contact with you as needed!
If you need to update your profile, but you aren't sure you are listed as a super user, please let us know! You may also subscribe to the COMPASS Point at any time, whether you are a super user or otherwise.
Voyager Certificate Program
The COMPASS Team is revitalizing the Voyager (Patient Access Super User) Certificate Program for new super users (or existing super users who want certification), with the hopes of holding the first class in January 2018. While we are in the initial stages of re-creating this program, we think it may look a little something like this:
- Prerequisites (led by COMPASS Training, taken within the past year):
- Insurance Theory
- Epic Portfolio Registration
- Epic Portfolio Scheduling and/or Grand Central
- Epic Portfolio Templates
- Epic Portfolio Referrals - to be added in the future
- Insurance Theory II
- Voyager Certification Course, which may include:
- detailed, department-specifc Super User onboarding/coordination
- networking time so Super Users can share work-related experiences and progress with each other
- role playing activity and review of expectations and responsibilities of Super Users
- tips and tricks on troubleshooting issues in Cadence, Prelude, and Grand Central (ADT)
- a review on using/working with workqueues and reports
- resources for Super Users, including training materials/how-tos, COMPASS Point News, and more
- Additional, on-going participation of Super User activities in order to maintain Voyager Certification status, such as:
- frequent attendance of quarterly Voyager Seminar session
- back-of-the-classroom help during Epic Portfolio patient access courses with COMPASS Training
- regression testing and/or go-live help for releases and upgrades
- mentorship of new patient access staff (as needed) within your department (per the Pathfinder Check-In program)
If you are interested in becoming Voyager Certified, or if you have questions or comments about the program, please contact COMPASS Super User Coordinator, Michelle Jordan at ajordan@fpi.umaryland.edu. In the meanwhile, check to see if you have taken the core prerequsities with COMPASS Training, as you may need to complete these first. You can do this by viewing the completed items of your transcript in TAP:
- Log into TAP
- Under Learning in the blue navigation bar, select View Your Transcript
- At the top of your Transcript, click the "Active" drop-down menu and select "Completed".
