RE: Single Contact Point for Payroll and HR
Dear Colleagues,
Starting on April 25, all questions and concerns about payroll will be submitted to HRConnections for resolution. The Payroll Hotline and the dedicated email address (ummspayroll@umm.edu) will be discontinued after a transition period.
By making this change, we will take advantage of the training and resources of the HRConnections Service Center to resolve and track all questions related to payroll, including the amount of your paycheck, deductions, hours covered, and more. Each case will be assigned a tracking number within HRConnections, so that you can follow its progress toward resolution.
The HRConnections Service Center is staffed by trained HR specialists, many of them master’s prepared, who answer your questions, facilitate transactions, and make sure that any issues are properly resolved. They have received additional training to respond to the payroll inquiries. For more complex questions, the Service Center will engage with the Payroll department to provide an answer.
After the transition, callers to the Payroll hotline will hear a message, redirecting them to the HRConnections Service Center at 1-855-486-6747 or to submit their query through HRConnections Online. Messages to the ummspayroll email will also receive an automatic response with instructions on how to initiate a case through HRConnections.
Our goal in making this transition is to bring more efficiency and transparency to the process of resolving your payroll inquiries. You can submit your queries at any time through HRConnections Online at www.umms.org/hrconnections or by calling the Service Center at 1-855-486-6747. The center is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
There will be more communications by email and on hospital intranets about the transition as the date approaches. In the meantime, if you have any questions, email ummspayroll@umm.edu or call the HRConnections Service Center.
