New Kronos Clocks Coming to UMMS
Across UMMS, our existing Kronos time clocks are being replaced with new, upgraded time clocks at all sites. These updated clocks will be easier to use and maintain, and they will provide more flexibility for both employees and managers.
At this time, only the hardware used to enter time is being updated; no processes related to timekeeping are changing, and the new clocks will continue to use the Kronos system. This important update moves us forward toward maximizing technology in all facets of our employee experience and healthcare delivery.
If at the time of swiping in/out, your typical clock is not available for use due to the clock replacement process, please use another Kronos clock or submit a Kronos Exception Form to your Kronos timekeeper.
To ensure a seamless transition, we’ve made learning how to enter your time on the new clocks as simple as possible. Written job aids that explain and show the process for submitting your time in detail are attached, and a condensed version will be available near the clocks themselves at launch.

- 900 EL, 920 EL, Columbia TOC – August 6-8
- UM BWMC – August 26-29
- UMMC DTC, UMMS Hunt Valley location – Sept 3-9 & Sept 16-20
- UM Rehab & Ortho – Sept 23
- UM SJMC – Oct 2-4
- UM SRH – Oct 7-10
- UMMC MTC – Oct 14-16
