Preparing HEMM for Retirement: What Do End Users Need to Do

As previously announced in August, we will officially retire the HEMM system from production usage at UMMS on December 31, 2021.

Here’s what that means:

  • Team members will no longer be able to process requisitions, purchase orders or invoices in HEMM after December 31, 2021.

What Do I Need to Do?

  • All outstanding transactions still in HEMM system will need to be opened as a new requisition in the Infor Supply Chain Management System.
  • Users will need to notify vendors with the new Purchase Order (PO) information
  • Users will need to update existing invoices in the Symbeo system with new PO numbers.

Symbeo/HEMM Release

  • To update the PO information in Symbeo, simply open the outstanding -invoice.
  • Enter the new Infor PO number into the PO Release Field
  • Change status to Approved
  • Save and close

Team members will still have the ability to view-only information in the HEMM system for the immediate future.

Note: Information in the HEMM system may be inaccurate as the data is not longer updated.

More information about Symbeo is available on UMMSConnect.

Additional questions or concerns may be directed to the Supply Chain Customer Service Desk: UMMS_Supply_Chain_CST_Serv@umm.edu or 443-462-3476.
