Transition to Infor ERP: Important Changes and Improvements regarding Human Resources and Payroll

 

 

The transition to Infor for Human Resources (HR) & payroll is coming, and we want you to be aware about what this means for you.

 

What is HR Knowledge Center on HRConnections?

The Infor HR Knowledge Center on HRConnections gives you direct access to employment policies, all forms, and complete information about leave and other aspects of your employment. Review the attached Quick Guides that explains more about HRConnections.

 

What is Employee Self-Service?

Employee Self-Service is your one-stop service at any time day or night (24/7) for all information related to your employment at UMMS, including personal information, employment, pay and more.

 

When should I start using HRConnections?

UM CRMC team members may begin accessing HRConnections for Employee and Manager Self-Service on Sunday, September 26.

My pay doesn’t look like I thought it would. What could the difference be?

Your new paycheck will look different than what you’re used to. Our payroll team has taken great care to ensure all team members are paid accurately.

If your pay seems more than or less than you thought it would be, here are a few reasons that may explain why:

 

  • Your Maryland State tax withholding will change.  In the old legacy system, your Maryland State tax withholding was an average of all counties in Maryland.  With the new Infor system, the technology is more robust allowing the system to withhold the exact amount of tax based on the county in which you reside.  Your Maryland State tax withholding may be higher, lower or the same based on the county in which you reside.

     

  • Employee Reimbursements will now be issued as part of your payroll check.

     

 

Why does the totals line show more hours than I actually worked?
The “TOTALS” line calculates all of the numbers in that column. That means that the hours listed here will often be more than the total hours you worked in that pay period. This happens because all hours eligible for premium pay are listed under Regular and listed again under the premium category.

 

What other changes should I expect?

With the transition to Infor, UM Charles Regional Medical Center payroll is transitioning to M&T Bank.

Your pay stub will now be available exclusively online in the HRConnections portal giving you immediate access to all your important payroll information.
