Transition to Infor: Practice Time with Infor Supply Chain Management
You are receiving this email because you have been given user access to the Infor sandbox. This sandbox is a “practice area” where you can keep your Infor training fresh, try out the functions you’ve learned and gain confidence using the new system before it goes live in mid-September.
Practice in the Infor sandbox is mandatory. Practical Exercises must be completed between August 16 and September 3, 2021.
About the Sandbox
- The sandbox is a training environment. It is set up with test configuration and test data. While you’re practicing, if you make an error, it does not impact anyone, and it does NOT impact patient care.
- It’s not broken! The sandbox is set up with business rules and workflow. This is different from the current paper process. Infor will work differently. When you complete the required training (see the announcement from Friday, July 9) and you practice in the sandbox, you will become comfortable with the new and different business rules.
- Practical Exercises. To make practice even easier, the project team has created practical exercises for the Infor sandbox specific to your specialty area(s). We encourage you to try out these real-life scenarios to make sure you understand the new system before it goes live.

Note: You must be on the UMMS network or VPN to access all linked documents on UMMSConnect.

ABOUT THE MOVE TO INFOR
Infor, which is already used by UMMS Human Resources, Payroll, Supply Chain, and Financial Management, is a best-in-class system which will increase automation, streamline processing and standardize reporting. Now, we’re expanding it to deliver these benefits System-wide.
This change to Infor is another vital step toward our vision of One UMMS, streamlining our processes to produce greater collaboration, enhanced operations and, ultimately, higher quality care to the people of Maryland.
