HEMM System is Officially Closed

The HEMM System is officially closed as of June 30, 2021, as first announced on June 28, 2021. Effective August 2, 2021, all UMMS team members will have “View Only” access to HEMM.

The transition from HEMM to Infor began in February 2020. With the implementation of the Infor system at UM Shore Regional Health, the legacy HEMM system will be decommissioned.

Here’s what that means:

HEMM Blanket Orders

  • HEMM Blanket Orders are no longer available for use.

  • Blanket Orders in HEMM will not be reopened.

  • Change orders for additional funding in HEMM will not be granted.

HEMM Capital, Grants, Funds, Operating Grants

  • HEMM capital, grants, funds and operating grants orders must be transitioned to Infor immediately

Symbeo/HEMM Release

  • Users may access HEMM receivers to complete the release process for orders dated prior to June 30, 2021.  This process will no longer be available after September 30, 2021.

Invoices

  • Invoices dated after June 30, 2021, will be processed in the Infor system and should follow the Infor procedures.

HEMM Support

  • Due to HEMM system closure, UMMS will no longer receive system support from AllScripts, formerly McKesson.

What Do I Need to Do?

  • Ensure all Service Agreements are transitioned to Infor.

  • Request all outstanding HEMM invoices dated prior to July 1, 2021, from vendors as soon as possible but no later than September 1, 2021.

  • Enter all Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) Service Agreements and POs in the Infor SCM system.

Team members who are unsure of the requisitioning process for service agreements will find detailed help on page 96 of the Requester Desktop User Guide located on UMMSConnect.

Additional questions or concerns may be directed to the Supply Chain Customer Service Desk: UMMS_Supply_Chain_CST_Serv@umm.edu or 443-462-3476.
