Infor Upgrades for RQC

This notification is intended for Infor Requisition Self-Service users at:

  • UM St. Joseph Medical Center
  • UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center
  • UMMS Corporate Shared Services

Wave 1 of the Infor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation went LIVE in February, and since that time, we have evaluated functionality, reviewed opportunities for improvement and optimized the user experience.  Today, we have an important update to share.

What is new?

Our support team has quickly addressed user-identified issues and questions since the launch of Infor in February. Starting on Sunday, August 30, Requesters will notice two key enhancements when creating new requisitions: 

  • Enhanced search performance when using the Search Catalog function in RQC.
    • Requesters will now be able to:
      • Find items with multiple hyphens (-) in manufacture and vendor item numbers
      • Find items with forward slash (/)
      • Find all special items on contracts based on search criteria
      • Find vendor item when using Vendor Item Advanced Search
  • Improved safety of patient-specific information.
    • Related to Bill Only, Bill and Replace, and Kermit Requisitions: We have removed the default procedure information that is entered in a requisition header after a requisition is submitted. This maximizes the privacy of our patient information.

 

What do you need to do?

No action is required. Please continue to enter requisitions as required with the new improved functionality. The updates will automatically be live for requesters on August 30.

This system upgrade addresses user-reported issues and ensures a more stable working environment as Infor is implemented at UMMC, UMMC Midtown, and UM Rehab & Ortho.
