COVID Employee Update
COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) is a rapidly evolving situation; given that, we want to keep you, our UMMS employees and medical staff, as informed as possible. We will continue to send regular updates, as necessary. We thank you in advance for your continued hard work and support of our patients, visitors and one another.
Telework Updates and Special Leave Policy
- Starting today, March 14, our managers have been instructed to identify all non-clinical staff whose work responsibilities allow them to work remotely, and direct them to work from home for a defined period of time. See message from Dr. Suntha. Please review these revised and new policies and related resources and reach out to your managers or the HRConnections Service Center at 855-486-6747 with any questions.
Temporary Enhanced Patient Safety (Visitor) Policy
- In order to further protect the safety of our patients and staff, we have released an addendum to the temporary enhanced patient safety policy implemented on March 11. All visitors who check-in at an UMMS facility will be asked the following three questions prior to admittance:
- Have you had a fever or do you feel sick?
- Have you traveled outside the country within the last 14 days?
- Have you been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19?
- All Visitors who answer yes to any of the questions above will not be admitted to UMMS facilities.
