Sometimes it can be difficult to decide: should I got to urgent care or to the emergency room?

Here are a few scenarios and where you should visit:

When to Visit Urgent Care

You should visit urgent care for:

  • Rashes
  • Tooth pain
  • Sprains and strains
  • Cuts needing stitches
  • Sore throat
  • Lower back pain
  • Pink eye
  • Animal or insect bite
  • Cold and flu symptoms

When to Visit the ER

You should visit the ER for:

  • Stomach or chest pain
  • Allergic reactions
  • Eye or head injuries
  • Serious burns
  • Stroke symptoms
  • Trouble breathing
  • Heart attack symptoms
  • High fevers
  • Possible drug overdose or poisoning
