AlignRT
AlignRT technology enhances the process of patient setup, surveillance and respiratory gating during radiation therapy.
How Does It Work?
AlignRT uses two sets of camera units and a patterned light in order to reconstruct 3D surface data of the patient’s body. During the treatment planning session AlignRT acquires a reference image when the patient is in the optimum position. When the patient is treated, a new image is taken and matched to the original reference image. The radiographer or therapist is provided with coordinate information so that the patient can be aligned correctly in all directions.
This real-time 3D surface imaging technology ensures that the patient is positioned correctly on every visit, to receive precise radiation treatment in a safe manner that does not harm surrounding organs and tissue. The technology has a broad range of motion to track the patient’s position in real time.
