Pre-Participation Sports Physical Exams

All high school athletes in Howard and Baltimore Counties and athletes at the collegiate level are required to pass a yearly sports physical exam.

Physicians from University of Maryland Sports Medicine will conduct sports physicals on Saturday, July 31 and August 8 at our UM FPI Urgent Care practice in Columbia.

Cost: $30 credit card, cash or check at time of service

Registration is required to maintain social distancing

What to Expect

All patients will be notified of a potential wait time upon checking in.

Physicians will go through a detailed checklist of health related questions and conduct a short physical assessment. Some areas of testing include flexibility, blood pressure and vision.

Patients can expect the exam to last between 15 to 30 minutes, longer if there are any medical concerns. In some cases a follow up appointment may be necessary for further evaluation.
