Neuroscience Research and Clinical Trials | Peter Crino, MD, PhD, in his lab

Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a genetic disorder that causes non-cancerous tumors to grow throughout the body.

It can affect the brain, skin, lungs, kidneys, heart and skin, and can cause epilepsy or learning disability.

The Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Center of Maryland (TSCCM) and the linked Clinical Center for Adults with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CCAND) is a clinic designated by the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance and meets criteria for a tertiary care TSC clinic.

Directed by Peter B. Crino, MD, PhD, the clinic's team evaluates and treats individuals ages 14 and older.
