Lyle Sheldon, FACHE

Lyle has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College and a master’s in health services administration from George Washington University. He has been with our health system since 1987 when he joined UM UCH as vice president and chief operating officer, and has served as president and chief executive officer since 1995. A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executive since 1995, Lyle is active in community and professional organizations, and has received multiple leadership awards during his career from different organizations.
When he isn’t tackling the challenges of healthcare, Lyle is cycling around Harford County. He is active in volunteer roles, focusing on healthy living, his faith-based outreach, and mentoring of young people. Lyle is a longtime Havre de Grace resident and a devoted husband, father and grandfather to eleven grandchildren.
