Ken Ferrara, MBA

Since 2010, Ken Ferrara has been the vice president and executive director of The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, serving as University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health’s Chief Philanthropy Officer.

During Ken’s 25 years of fundraising experience, he has been involved in raising over $150 million for various capital, endowment and operating projects. At UM Upper Chesapeake Health he led an historic capital campaign – Hope and Healing Close to Home – that established The Patricia D. and M. Scot Kaufman Cancer Center, exceeding its stretch goal while raising $19.4 million. Today, his leadership of Your Health, Our Mission: Caring for Our Families Together Campaign has established the Klein Family Harford Crisis Center and is set to exceed its stretch goal of $15 million dollars.

Ken’s previous roles include serving as the executive director of institutional advancement at Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, Pennsylvania and the director of individual capital and annual giving at Loyola University of Maryland.

He is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, serving on various committees, a member of the Greater Harford Committee and the vice president of the Harford County Community Foundation. Ferrara has an undergraduate degree and Executive MBA from Loyola University of Maryland.
