"Within Our Reach" Symposium
Hear the story of 2020 guest Susan Scarlett's Parkinson's diagnosis and the documentary she inspired with her determination, "Victory Swim."
In careful consideration of our theme, “LIVING WELL: You Can Thrive in the Days to Come,” as well as the unprecedented events of the past year, we have new ideas to help you live well and thrive in the midst of challenges.
To ensure everyone is comfortable and staying in good health, the symposium will be hosted virtually on October 1, 2021. You can still enjoy all of the symposium’s workshops and information sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Tickets for the new virtual symposium are $25.00 per household.
Within Our Reach is our unique patient educational program that recognizes the importance of engaging patients, caregivers and family members in an active process to learn the new skills necessary to manage their chronic medical condition.
Date: Virtual Event Friday, October 1, 2021
Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm
Keynote Speaker: We are proud to announce this year's keynote will be delivered by a person living with Parkinson's disease, Diane Schuirman-Hagedorn. Diane was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s in 2014. She currently serves as Vice President of the Pass to Pass Board of Directors, a nonprofit dedicated to raising Parkinson’s disease awareness while supporting hikers with PD. The Pass to Pass group of volunteers offers multi-day hiking trips on the Pacific Crest Trail in both Washington and Oregon. Diane will share her journey in how she is managing to live well with PD.
