Harm Reduction Resources
- ABC Harm Reduction Team - Text-only: 240-244-7934 - Can deliver safer drug-use supplies, syringes and tools, Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and more.
- Harm Reduction Coalition Resources has resources for people who use drugs, engage in sex work, and are vulnerable to structural violence.
- Maryland Next Naloxone provides links to statewide harm reduction services and programs. You can also fill out a form to have naloxone mailed to your address.
- Next Distro will mail harm reduction supplies including syringes and other safer drug-use items to any address. Local organizations mail out supplies with traditionally a short turnaround time.
Virtual Meetings, Groups and Resources
If you or someone you love is in need of support and connection, the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) put together a list of virtual meetings, ranging from Alcoholics Anonymous to gambling recovery programs.
Food Resources
- Baltimore City has put together a map of free food sites.
- Maryland Food Bank has a find-a-food-bank map of Maryland and information on applying for SNAP benefits.
- United Way has a COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund to help with bills, rent and food. Call 1-866-211-9966 and provide your zip code for a list of local assisting agencies.
