Visitor Policy

Please see our Visitor Policy before coming to our facilities. In addition to our regular visiting hours and policies, additional restrictions are in place for visitors to all patients due to the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you for helping to keep our patients safe.

Virtual Visits

At this time, we are also offering virtual visits for patients and families through Virtual Patient Connect.

In order to enhance the safety of everyone on our campuses, all hospital visitors are required to stop at the visitor registration desk and register with a valid driver's license or other identification and have a photo ID taken. This information is used for the sole purpose of identification within the confines of the UM Upper Chesapeake Health System. Please wear appropriate visitor identification at all times.

At UM Upper Chesapeake Health, we encourage family and friends to visit patients staying with us.  This information will help you plan your visit.

Where to Enter

During regular visitation hours, visitors to UM Harford Memorial Hospital (UM HMH) should use the main entrance on Union Avenue. At UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center (UM UCH), visitors should enter at the main entrance or, if appropriate, the Family Birthplace entrance, which is only for visitors to this unit.

Guest Services

Our Guest Services team is here to help visitors as well as patients. We can provide a list of accommodations for relatives and guests from out of town. Also, our team can arrange for free interpretive services, which might include auxiliary aids, qualified interpreters, TTYs, written materials and closed captioning.
