UM Cancer Network & Cancer Research Trials
A great benefit of our formal affiliation with the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center is the local access to clinical trials and their support of our genetic counseling program. Our research team carefully screens all new oncology patients and attends all tumor board meetings to identify potential patients who might benefit from a study.
Clinical Trials: Medical Oncology
The number of available trials continues to grow. Please contact our clinical research nurse at 443-643-1029 for additional information.
A meeting explaining the trial, or clinical trials in general, can help you decide whether you would like to take part in the study. Participation is voluntary and you may stop participating at any time for any reason. By agreeing to take part in a research study, you may need to see the doctor more often and you may also be required to have specific blood work or tests. Frequent monitoring is done throughout the study to ensure safety.
