A Hand in Caring for His Community
Back in the 1990s, Dr. William Bair made the decision to start his career as a general surgeon on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Now, almost three decades later, he cannot imagine living anywhere else or caring for anyone other than his neighbors at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.
In the operating room, Dr. Bair's skilled hands repair hernias, remove gall bladders and use minimally invasive tools to help ensure the fastest recovery possible. Those same hands also make music with his violin, bringing smiles to senior citizens, Alzheimer's patients and those in hospice. His goal, as a physician and as a member of the community, is to make a positive impact on the health and overall well-being of his neighbors.
