The Developmental Evaluation Clinic at MWPH evaluates and treats children who have developmental delays or are known to have biological or environmental factors that place them at risk for developmental delays. These factors include, but are not limited to, prematurity, perinatal asphyxia, congenital infections, genetic syndromes and exposure to illicit drugs.

All evaluations are overseen by a developmental pediatrician during the multidisciplinary team assessment. Team members include psychologists, speech and language pathologists, physical therapists and occupational therapists.

Findings are discussed with the parents after the evaluations and more detailed reports are forwarded to the primary care providers and parents.

At our main location on Rogers Avenue, we treat patients from birth to 5 years, and sometimes older. For our location in Prince George's County, we treat patients from birth to 2 years.
