About Me

Susan Gorschboth joined University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health in February 2021 as a nurse practitioner in the primary care office in Abingdon, Maryland. She enjoys caring for and developing meaningful relationships with patients in the community. She helps manage patients' health conditions by treating injuries and illnesses as well as supporting injury and disease prevention.

A Harford County, Maryland, resident for more than 30 years, Gorschboth was a registered nurse for 23 years before pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at University of Maryland School of Nursing. Thereafter, she completed a nine-month advanced practice clinician residency in primary care at ChristianaCare in Delaware.

Susan had helped me navigate a very challenging time as I'm a caregiver for my elderly father and I work full time in a high pressure job. I put my healthcare on the "back burner" for a long time and Susan has helped me change that and I'm healthier than ever before.
