About Me
A podiatric surgeon, Dr. Wynes manages all facets of foot and ankle care for children and adults. He is able to provide the most up-to-date treatment for conditions that are present from birth or progressive.
Dr. Wynes has special interest in management of foot and ankle arthritis, adult and pediatric flatfoot, and cavus conditions. He also specializes in infection, malunion, and nonunion management of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Wynes believes in meeting patients' needs through comprehensive evaluation and treatment designed to help them achieve an active, pain-free lifestyle. Dr. Wynes provides each patient with communication and education so they can make informed decisions about their treatment.
Many conditions can be treated by nonsurgical techniques, but in certain cases, surgery is recommended. In his practice, Dr. Wynes combines leading-edge techniques with proven traditional methods to provide patients with the best foot and ankle care possible.
Dr. Wynes specialized training has equipped him with the skills necessary to perform various procedures, from the most basic bunion or hammertoe surgery to complex realignment and tendon transfers, with the utmost accuracy and precision. In addition, he offers minimally invasive treatments, such as ankle arthroscopy and metatarsal lengthening.
Dr. Wynes is co-director of the University of Maryland Limb Preservation Program and program director for the Deformity Correction Fellowship. He is a national lecturer on Charcot neuroarthropathy, limb salvage, and other foot and ankle disorders.
Dr. Wynes was recognized as 2021 "Physician of the Year" at University of Maryland Midtown Campus. He also has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of Podiatry by Baltimore magazine.
