About Me

An obstetrician-gynecologist who has been working in her field for many years, Dr. Sopher often cares for multiple generations of families. She provides patient-centered care and counseling related to contraception, menopause, well-woman exams and other gynecologic conditions. In addition to general obstetrical work, she is a talented gynecologic surgeon.

Extremely energetic in both her professional and personal lives, Dr. Sopher has been a part of the care team at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health and practicing in Harford County, Maryland, since 2000. She is a senior member of Upper Chesapeake Women’s Care.

In her free time, Dr. Sopher enjoys running and spending time with family.

  • ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT ANY HESITATION, Dr Sopher is one of a kind. Dr Sopher has been my GYN for 21 years and I cannot imagine going to anyone else. She delivered 2 out of my 3 kids. I could go on and on about her. She genuinely cares for her patients and gives 1000% every time. I trust her completely with my care.

She is always kind, has a great personality, extremely knowledgeable, offers her expert advice to any small or large issue I may have, explains everything clearly so I understand anything that she communicates to me, and I could not ask for a better doctor in all these years.
