About Me
Dr. Matthew Ferris is a radiation oncologist. He treats head and neck cancers, skin cancers, and cancers in the chest (such as lung cancer). His collaborative care approach aims to provide advanced treatment tailored to each person's needs. He shows great attention to detail during your radiation treatment.
Most of the time, Dr. Ferris works at the Maryland Proton Treatment Center, where he is medical director. He is also an associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM). He serves on national-level committees for head and neck cancers and lung cancer.
Dr. Ferris grew up in Towson. An UMSOM graduate, Dr. Ferris completed his undergraduate studies in 2010 at Loyola University Maryland, majoring in biology with minors in business and English. He was elected a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He was chief resident during the final year of his residency training.
In his free time, Dr. Ferris enjoys surfing, golfing, hunting, and spending time with his wife and three children.
