About Me

An internal medicine specialist, Dr. Jeffrey Gerbino's clinical interests include treating patients with obesity and hypertension as well as managing multiple chronic illnesses. He is the medical director of the Midtown Health Center, which offers a range of primary care services.

Understanding how psychological and social factors can affect a person's health is an important aspect of Dr. Gerbino's medical practice. "My philosophy is that everyone should have access to high-quality medical care, no matter what race they are or how much money they make," he says. "I believe in shared decision-making with my patients. I seek their input when figuring out what the best medical treatment might be for them."

Dr. Gerbino is the associate program director for ambulatory medicine for University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus' internal medicine residency program. In 2020-21, he received the Dr. Michael Yen Faculty teaching award, which is bestowed annually to one faculty member as voted by the residents.

When not at work, Dr. Gerbino enjoys exercising and rooting for Philadelphia sports team.
