Pediatric Growth and Nutrition

The Division of Growth and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics offers continuing comprehensive care to children from infancy through early childhood.

It consists of the Growth and Nutrition Clinic and research studies related to pediatric growth and development. Dr. Maureen Black is the director of the clinic as well as principal investigator of four research studies. The Growth and Nutrition Clinic cares for pediatric patients with growth or feeding difficulties. Treatment focuses on biological and psychosocial components relating to feeding issues.

Growth and Nutrition Clinic

The Growth and Nutrition Clinic (GNC) is a family-centered outpatient clinic that provides evaluations and interventions for children under 3 years old who are experiencing feeding difficulties.

Established in 1989, GNC is a statewide resource that has treated more than 1,000 children. Our staff specialize in treating children whose stunted growth is a result of medical, nutritional, psychological, familial or environmental causes.

GNC's mission is to treat feeding difficulties, improve children's growth patterns, meet the individual needs of each family and promote healthy eating habits early in life.
