Critical Care & Trauma Education
Our Services
The University of Maryland R A Cowley Shock Trauma Center's Critical Care and Education team offers courses to train caretakers at all levels, from support staff to nursing and advanced practice providers, and physicians and the general public. Courses can range from a single-day training for individual providers to multi-week programs. Our observer program gives participants an in-depth understanding of the many areas of trauma, trauma systems, and critical care.
Our simulation center allows us to make these scenarios feel as real as possible. The only thing not real in our simulation center is the patient - everything else, from the gas lines to the IV bags, are the real deal.
