Laboratory at UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester

The labs at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health offer comprehensive laboratory services, including phlebotomy and therapeutic phlebotomy. We also process other specimens, including urine and cultures, and offer EKGs.

Phlebotomists are trained to draw blood for a wide range of patients, from newborn children to adults. The laboratory will draw blood Monday through Friday for LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics exclusive/preferred provider insurance plans and forward the specimens to the appropriate laboratory.
