About Me
Dr. Andrew Pollak is senior vice president and chief clinical officer for University of Maryland Medical System. He is also professor of orthopaedics at University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Pollak received his Bachelor of Science and medical degrees from Northwestern University. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the integrated Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland program. In 1994, he completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at University of California Davis Medical Center.
Previously, Dr. Pollak has served as treasurer and chair of the Extremity War Injuries Project Team and as chair of the Board of Specialty Societies for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He is a past president of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the Maryland Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Pollak is currently vice chair of the Maryland Health Care Commission and vice chair of the Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium.
