About Me
Dr. Chaves specializes in echo imaging of the heart and care of patients with single ventricles. She cares for children with heart disease, particularly congenital heart disease, from the prenatal period through young adulthood. She believes that caring for children also means supporting families so they can help provide the best care for the patient.
Dr. Chaves' research interests include the use of quality improvement in pediatric echocardiography and care of high-risk patients. Her clinical interests include general pediatric cardiology, non-invasive cardiac imaging, fetal cardiology, and care of high-risk and single-ventricle patients.
Dr. Chaves has been named a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of pediatric cardiology by Baltimore magazine on multiple occasions.
