About Me

Gail Shorter specializes in pain management. Her approach to caring for patients with acute and chronic pain starts with the patient and their story. Listening is the beginning of building a trusting relationship with the patient and creating a multi-modal treatment plan including physical therapy, exercise, mental health therapy, injections, complementary therapies and medication management.

Shorter also worked in emergency and critical care, which has given her unique insight and understanding of chronic conditions that can impact pain levels.

"I truly believe that educating patients about their conditions empowers them to take more control of their health and offers hope for healing."

Shorter has clinical interests in multi-disciplinary team management of chronic pain, functional medicine and integrative and complementary medicine. She is also interested in wellness, chronic disease self-management, nurse empowerment, ethics and entrepreneurship.
